Friday, Wally won $300 on a radio contest..very exciting because he was close to winning $7,000. He also decided on the purchase of our “new” used car. It’s an oldy but I’m going with the “goody” part. With his winnings, this man of mine, purchased a new piece of camera equipment for me. Yes indeed, my man wins a few bucks and what does he do but buy me something with it. How does that sound for a bit of too good to be true. Anyhow, I digress…..I get this hot little lens home and magically I can use the new camera this same too good to be true man got me for Christmas. Sunday morning found me on the floor, here and there taking lots of shots. I just played with the settings and found that some of the shots looked pretty good – even if I do say so myself. Thanks to Kal again, for sharing her secrets. I’m nowhere near her talent, but I’m excited to start taking lots of shots.
On another note, my horoscope said this morning that I should stay close to home and finish projects because basically I will be distracted and unfit to be behind the wheel. Too bad I didn’t read it before I had to take Wally to Mt. Uniacke to meet his ride to work in freezing rain and roads that were snow covered, icy and not plowed. On second thought, maybe it was a good thing that I didn’t read this before I left at 6am this morning.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that we saw the movie Juno. I loved it! The dialogue is new, cheeky and refreshing. If you feel like seeing an entertaining movie that doesn't feel Hollywood, this is a must see.
