I felt like a little kid this morning when I looked at my class gallery and saw that Jessica Sprague herself left a comment on MY – yes – MY LAYOUT! Here’s what she said about “38 Years of Tradition”
“WOWW! This is incredible. The blending, the alpha with the offset, the newspaper clipping, the3 entire design. GORGEOUS. “
I can’t flipp’n believe it!
I was out of town for the day today, so I’ve only had a chance to look at the video for lesson 3. I really can’t wait to get started. I originally took my photo wearing white and am now toying with redoing the photo wearing a little colour. I’ll have to see if I feel like taking one or two (OK more like 30) shots again tomorrow in the sunlight. Probably not though. I've been really trying not to revisit the work I do. It's nice to look back and see how I would do things differently now, and how my style has changed over time.
I had an appointment in the City today, so Wally decided to take a couple of days off and hang out with me. Nice. Really nice indeed. He picked me up after my appointment and we went out for lunch and then wandered up and down Spring Garden Road in the glorious sunshine. We looked up, we looked down, we looked all around. We had a chuckle at ourselves because we really looked like country folk visiting the city for the day. When I lived there I used to laugh at people like us. Too funny how our life has changed. We talked a lot today about moving back to the City. I really do miss the excitement and the business of life there. There is always somewhere to walk to and something to do. Time will definitely tell what our decision will be..our lovely country home overlooking a pasture and farm, or highrise apartment overlooking the city. Quite a contrast for sure.
Hope today finds everyone happy and well and enjoying the sunshine in our little part of the world.
