Another month has passed us by and I’m sure it will quickly become a blur as have most of the previous months. If someone asks me what I do, I generally feel it’s nothing too exciting - just everyday life around this house of ours. One advantage of this little journal is that I can go back and relive what it is I actually do on a day-to-day basis. The posts I enjoy most are the ones that are just “everyday stuff”. Some days I really love the joys of this life I get to share with my husband. The more exciting “big” events are great too, but what really makes me happy is when I can enjoy the ups and downs of everyday life.

This weekend happened to be a pretty full one. Billy’s retirement was done beautifully and I took a few (OK hundreds) of photos that right now I’m not liking too much! Sound familiar? The Deck Opening went off without a hitch on Friday night, which is always a good thing, and Sunday’s date with the Fundy Tide was so worth the early alarm. I’ve rafted the Pennobscot River in Maine, while still in my youth, and our time on the Shubie River was just as fun. It wasn’t scary at all, just lots of giggles and a lot of muddy water. I’m afraid I don’t have a photograph of either occasion, but both adventures are up there pretty high on my list of best memories.
To repeat Nick…"we’ve gone curling, now we’ve gone rafting, what’s next?" Hmmmm. Maybe a little balloon ride adventure will come into our future??
