Here is a sneak peak from our day on the farm. I'm working on processing the many photos I took that day, and enjoying every bit of it. As I work through each photo and look into the eyes of everyone who was there, it is incredible to be reminded that we are all connected in some way. We may not be related by blood, but the connection between us is undeniable.
Amongst the group of us there were indivuals who attended school together, and even a teacher who tought in the same school at the same time as a student graduated. AND to think there was a family connection that they didn't even know about. I am always amazed that when we take time to really listen and talk to someone how interesting their story really is.
Thank you Kelly & Dewayne for hosting all of us. Your place looked outstanding, and the hospitality was even better. From the hay rides to the horseback rides...from the food to the entertaining band...from meeting relatives and friends for the first time to catching up with those we haven't seen in many years...it was a great day.
Just remember...the next time you have a party and pick a date I'm working, you're in deep, deep trouble girl! Seriously, though, it was a great time.
The video below is making its way around the web these days. It speaks to me. A group of people is always so much better than an individual...whether it's family or strangers, life is so much better when we are surrounded by great people.
