Lions and Lambs

March. It's here already. It's arrival certainly came in like a lion. In fact it's still roaring. As I look out my window at the dreary freezing rain that is falling I can't help but count and dream about how many days it could be until we see summer. I say summer, because in reality, spring can be a rare find in our neck of the woods. Oh! how I love spring!

The past several days were spent with my better half. Doing lots. Accomplishing nothing. Enjoying our borrowed time as his schedule becomes more intense until his departure in the fall. I keep asking him to put his schedule in our calendar. It never seems to make it in there. I wonder if it's because he doesn't want me to have a visual of actually how much he will be away beginning next week...but then again it's Wally...to use his words he's "just not that deep". In reality he probably just can't be bothered.

We watched movies on our sofa. We visited relatives. We visited friends. We went to appointments. We enjoyed the sunshine. We dined out. We gave lots of attention to our dogs. We searched for tulips at the market. We looked at a condo on the Bedford waterfront. We visited building centres. We made plans for fixing up our house. We talked. We tried sleeping on opposite sides of the bed. It was totally enjoyable and relaxing. It was totally us.

As for my healthy lifestyle I'm afraid success is so far illusive. I am continuing to enjoy yoga and will migrate to the next level in one more week. I have added weights and cardio at the gym, but haven't achieved a regular schedule yet. I feel good. I'm working on it. I have so much to learn. Like how will I prevent binge eating once Wally sails away? It is a struggle. That's for sure.

Here's to having March go out like a lamb!
