This was a post from my journal last week:
We recently had a big day around here. 8am the crew arrived to take a look at our sewer. Backhoe with driver on a flatbed, two plumbers and a helper. Once the backhoe was carefully removed from the truck, and the water was requested to be shut off, which didn’t happen by the way, the day couldn’t have gone any better. Everything was best case scenario. We asked that they attempt to save our walkway – and they did. We asked that they carefully remove our bushes – and they did. We asked that they check the entire line – and they did. They cleaned everything up. The only way you can tell we had work done was that our huge holly bushes are now gone. They suggested not putting them back because their roots are invasive with plumbing. So, one of the workers is now a proud owner of two huge holly bushes. Now let’s see what the bill is!
EDIT:
Cost of 3 plumbers, 1 backhoe driver and lots of work - $1,630.47
Peace of Mind – PRICELESS!
