I have lots of catching up to do. It's been a rough week. No excuses really, it just was. BUT....a good feeling is creeping its way back into my soul. I have lots of ideas swirling around in my head. So much so I've had to write some of the down. Love it when that happens! It's been way too long!
To be truthful, I got a little lost. I was reminded today while reading Tom Ang’s “Digital Photographer’s Handbook” that
That’s exactly what I’ve been feeling lately. I lost the FUN part of my fun work. I missed having lots of ideas swirling in my brain. I missed the feeling that I will never be able to get everything done.
The pictures above are a few from the George Canyon concert Sunday. When I first looked at the photos I was so disappointed that they were so crappy. I really hate it when pictures turn out bad; and trust me, lately there’s been lots. I’m thinking it’s all to do with this funk I found myself in – that is quickly retreating to its nasty hiding place. Good photos will come again I’m sure. Maybe even someday I can say great photos.
Today I dropped by the football field to catch a bit of the Junior Mess vs. Officers annual game. It was wet and wild for sure. I have an idea how to put some of these crappy pictures to use…I think there’s a theme here. How does one learn to love their not so great – OK darn right crappy pictures? Just use them as if they were master pieces folks. Just use them and learn to love them.

“…if you find yourself inhibited or you are afraid to look silly, or start to
wonder what the point is. If so, then just bear in mind that you are doing this
for yourself, for the fun of it. As long as you think it is worthwhile, why care
what anyone else thinks?”
