Monday MONDAY. Here you are Monday. A great weekend is gone and another week to explore head on.
Love is my pilot: Kal – the creative GOD whose blog I visit put this on her site this weekend. It actually inspired me to write to her again. I love her work. Love her style. Love her spunk. AND LOVE her bullet proof positive attitude.
This totally inspired me. I shared with her my story of Wally coming into my life 13 years ago. Here’s what I wrote to her:
Oh Kal, "love moves us and makes us who we are". These words have touched me in a way it's difficult to express. Over 13 years ago someone walked into my life and at that moment I began to find me. His love has allowed me to find out who I am. That person is my husband... Is it OK for me to use your quote (not sure how yet) as long as I acknowledge you? Your poetic words and beautiful art are an inspiration. Thank you!
Another week. Another issue of the Valley Buy Sell & Trade. This past weekend was good. Friday evening saw our friends Bill & Barbara pop in for a bit and our new found friends Nick & Jill come down for the night. Love all you guys. A little hanging out in the kitchen, a little hot tubbin’ and a good evening had by all. I couldn’t resist pulling together a full-on brunch the next morning – sausage, bacon, eggs, Wally’s famous French toast, the full deal. Just what the doctor ordered after a late night. Thanks guys!
Saturday we prepped for Noel (extra tropical storm) and the time change. We were late putting our outdoor “stuff” away, so Noel put a much needed kick in our butts to get it done. It was a pretty good storm but not too bad. Just a few branches and no power for a couple of hours.
Sunday we drove down to Mom & Dad’s for a feast of Swiss Steak, potatoes, carrots, turnip, apple crisp and apple pie, OH MY... Nice time, really nice visit. Thanks Mom. Of course, Mom couldn’t send us home empty handed. Nope, not my Mom. She filled this huge “Little Red Riding Hood” basket full of left-overs. Guess what’s for supper tonight dear?

Have you noticed a theme here? I just noticed I’m talking a lot about food. No wonder my waistline is what it is.
Today, I have to get my lazy butt in gear. Good lord, I have to find my creative mojo. Where have you been? How do I find you? I know you’re there, you’re just hiding aren’t you? Get some work done Lisa and then get creative with that looming deadline for a website!
