a WHIRLWIND of a WEEKEND

Sometimes the weekend is just a blur. Ours really started on Thursday evening where we attended a brewery launch of a new beer. Nice to see our friends. I had an early exit to pick up my Mom at the airport. She arrived home safely and I arrived there just in time to see her at the baggage claim. Since when does a flight arrive early? Go figure!

Saturday, my partner in crime (Wally) and I headed into the City for the farmer's market. How's that for an oxymoron? We picked up gorgeous breads, sweets, cheeses and of course tulips. I love the market! Since I'm still not quite feeling terrific we headed back home after a few hours and I quickly plopped my behind on our comfy sofa for the remainder of the day.

Sunday we had a nice visit with my sister and her husband and son Tylor; and of course all the animals. I love seeing the animals and I can’t help taking lots of pictures. Ty is off for his adventure on Tuesday so we just wanted to have a little visit before his journey.

When we returned home friends of ours dropped in for a quick visit. We couldn’t resist bringing out our new toy – a kite in the shape of a parrot. A quick discussion about the wind probably being too strong and then we were outside attempting to fly our new kite. In a blink of an eye our new toy crash landed onto our roof. Good for a chuckle, indeed...

This weekend was relaxing, fun and most enjoyable. Now it's time for a reality check of work, laundry and the daily grind. Gotta love this life of mine!
