Today is a day of meaning for me. Dad’s birthday. 2008 will be a year of firsts. Wally said this to me back in December and I remember thinking, “yes, it will” and then quickly pushing those thoughts out of my mind. So, in honour of your day Dad, today I am doing your 2007 Taxes... Yes, I can hear you chuckle at that!
I’ve been really stretched to my limit lately. I feel it in every part of my body, but as they say “suck it up”, life goes on. I haven’t blogged much lately because I just haven’t found the time. Sorry for that. Now that my Digi In Deep course is completed things will get back to normal. I have a painting class starting in a couple of weeks, but I’m thinking it won’t be as intense - wishful thinking maybe :)!
Here’s one of my last assignments for this class. It definitely isn’t my style – lots going on for sure – but it is kinda cool, don’t you think! It was supposed to be “a perfect pair” but since I don’t have a family to shoot, I had to mix it up a little and used older photos from last fall when Wally & I were having a little fun with him in his kilt. Hope you enjoy it!

and here's what I originally did for my journal last fall...

I do plan on making some of my own papers and embellishments within the next couple of weeks to share for free, so take a look back and I’ll have some downloads.
I visited my sister’s farm 2 weekends ago and took over 300 photos. It was a really bright & sunny day, and I forgot to change the white balance and many had poor exposure. The result: really crappy pictures that I have to work on! I can’t tell you how much something like that drives me nuts! Moral of the story…take a minute and review your test shots inside so you can actually see what’s happening on screen. Crap! Crap!
Here’s a few of that day anyway…

This is a photo attempt with Lily that I originally was going to use for that assignment and then changed my mind. Too cute not to share...

This is what poor exposure and poor white balance looks like folks!

Wally decided to let the goats have a nibble on his fingers here. Might not have been one of his smarter decisions, if you get my drift!
This is a really nice shot of my sister, Kelly, that just happened to have a really crappy result!
I couldn't forget these guys. I kinda liked the sheep alot...
Thanks Kelly for taking this one of me feeding one of the little goats...
This one was too funny to resist including. Doesn't look real does it..BUT it is!
Before there were goats, and sheep, and cows, and turkeys, and chickens there were horses...
Phew! If you made it this far, you deserve a little something. Send me some love and I'll let you know when I have some "stuff" to download. Not sure what yet, so don't get too excited.
I must now go and get ready to head to the spa for a pedicure with my hubby that he arranged for us.
