the LADIES have ARRIVED!

I am a HUGE fan of Kal Barteski and her art and this is what came in the mail for me today.

This piece is an original and I'm just giddy that it will hang on my wall!


The ones below are all prints and are part of a new series she offers based on the 1st one "the pink lady". Kal is now offering custom work (unfortunately came after I already purchased these) which would be very, very cool as a gift. These "ladies" brought tears to my eyes when I first saw them.


Today is another absolutely gorgeous day in my little town of Windsor, NS. May around here can sometimes be cold and dreary, but not this year baby...it's spring! The grass is green, the leaves are budding, the sun is shining and the bugs are arriving...yes, I said BUGS. The house flies and ants have invaded us early this year. Just between you and I, chemicals were used this morning in an attempt to keep these suckers away from this house of ours. Don't report me, don't send me nasty messages OR reminders about the environment because today I don't care! Today, I am in the frame of mind to murder as many of these pesky beasts as I can. YES, I know they are living beings and God's creations, etc. etc., which is really easy to say when they're not all over the back of your house, covering your lawn furniture and taking over your life. Phew! I feel better now. Have a great day everyone!
