Today is a full day of fun with a little bit of responsibility thrown in for good measure. Can’t beat that!

First thing this morning I had a photo shoot with my weeping cherry tree. This poor little tree is totally lopsided, but I love it anyway! As I was taking photos the sun came around the back and was really too bright for the effect I was trying to achieve but I decided to keep going with it, and you know what, I had fun. I mean I really had fun! At one point I decided to lie on the ground and take a look at the view. Man, what a good idea that was! The perspective this gave me was something that filled my heart with happiness. The blue sky that was lightly streaked with wisps of clouds as the branches of the cherry tree rustled in the breeze was absolutely yummy. This is something that will permanently go in my sensory log…be a kid…just look around and see the beauty that surrounds us!

The last shot I took was of Sienna. As I got up off the ground, there she was peaking at me through the branches of the tree. Not the prettiest photo as our deck is awaiting painting and the furniture is still strewn all over, but the look on her face as I got up was simply too adorable not to love this.

On a different note, have you ever wondered what happens to household stuff that mysteriously goes missing? This morning I decided to make pizza for supper and be lazy and make the dough in the bread maker – not to mention it tastes really, really good. This machine has had some use over the years but now mysteriously it is nowhere to be found. In my search I found a food dehydrator we inherited from a friend many years ago that has never been used, I found a crockpot that has been used a few times but I keep hidden away because I can’t stand working in the smell of food cooking for 8-10 hours. But my bread maker, that I cannot find. I can understand the frustration of losing one sock – we all know there is some mysterious sock person/thing that only steals one sock, but come on! The size of a bread maker should make it a little easier to track down. Guess I’ll have to do it the old fashioned way…OK maybe not…Kraft here I come!

Today I plan on doing a little more painting, going to the grocery store to pick up a pizza mix, finish the laundry, tackle a little more of our elusive back garden weeding/completion, and head to the post office for my long awaited arrival of “Little One”!

This my friends, is going to be a wicked Wednesday!
