Phew! I’ve been behind on my list of things to do lately. In fact, I haven’t had a list for a while and just noticed this morning that I started one because I kept forgetting things I needed to get done. One of the items on my list that has been really bothering me is the photos I took for Tina at her husband’s retirement party on May 30th.
Here they are Tina. I hope you can find one or two that you like. I’m afraid with really poor lighting and lots of mingling people, great photos are not the norm. It was, however, a really great tribute and I’m sure you will both enjoy your new digs in Nfld. – when your dream home is built of course. The pictures I chose are the ones that evoked the emotions of the day. Enjoy!

I also noticed that I wrote in big BOLD letters "EXERCISE". Since I started taking insulin again I've gained 15 lbs! Yup! I can't believe it! Actually it's really 10 because the other 5 I lost when I had pneumonia, so in my mind I only have 10 lbs. to lose. That's the story I'm sticking to anyway. So, here I am again, trudging along the roadway, one foot in front of the other. I did discover though, that leaving the doggies at home, makes for a much more enjoyable hike especially when my iPod is turned up extra loud. Have I mentioned lately how much I dislike walking as a form of exercise? Have I mentioned lately how much I dislike taking insulin? Have I mentioned lately that this is something I'm stuck with for the remainder of my life?
I made a really important promise - and it's to myself. I promised myself I would walk the loop everyday for 30 days. In doing this I am hoping that I will have formed a habit. AND once that habit is formed, I will forever put my shoes on and ignore my throbbing foot and just walk for 1 hour every day for the remainder of my days. Every day. No excuses. Oh! and I can't forget weight training, stretching and core work either. One step at a time!
