I am experiencing technical DIFFICULTIES

Have I mentioned before I love technology when everything is working tickety boo? Have I mentioned lately how I feel like my head will explode when there's a problem with technology?

Today has been wasted away...uninstalling - reinstalling - uninstalling - reinstalling software. On the phone with customer support. Waiting for customer support to call me back. On the phone for 2 hrs. straight....still no software up and running.

Just now, I think to myself...self - while you're waiting, update your blog without any pictures. I think, OK Lisa, good idea. Good idea, especially since I already completed a rough draft. All I have to do is go ahead and copy it, rework it a little, and tada! a perfectly fine little update post on my Blog minas some pretty cool ideas for some photos that I had. But nooooo...nothing is simple when technology isn't working the way you expect it to.

Here's the kicker. The very nice man on the other end of the phone, who happens to be in India, was being really cautious and started a new account on this wonderful system of mine called Vista. When I first purchased said computer it was in such a mess it took 3 days, at least 16 hours, and again the dreaded install, reinstall to get it up and running. The poor soul that was hanging out with me during that adventure took pity on me and helped me set up my PC so that it didn't even work like it was running Vista. I really loved that guy after that weekend ended, and to think I never even met him. I think if I was a smoker I would have had one. You know, just like in the old movies, after a particularly great liaison the star of the move had a nice drag on a death stick....I digress...

...back to my current dilema...I go to open up my file that I saved this morning and because this nice person from India, set up a new account, I now totally get those really cool/funny MAC commercials that totally trash Windows. Popup after popup, I'm still giving approval to open my own damn file! So, me and Windows Vista are sitting here looking at each other, getting absolutely nothing done. And since the reinstall of my Adobe Creative Suite CS3, that cost a bloody fortune by the way, came back with an error, I'm sitting here fuming awaiting a return phone call from customer support that was scheduled for over 30 min. ago.

Next time I need a new computer...I guarantee you I will be spending double the price to buy a Mac!

And that my friends is the not so fun side of working for yourself at home. Gone are the days I can pick up a phone and dial someone else to solve my technical problems.
