Yup! That was me today and the day isn't over yet. I was up and at it early scraping the ice off of the car after a couple of tins of baked goods were put together, a Christmas card was thrown together for my hairstylist, and a quick shower before I was off to the Valley for a short but very sweet visit with my Mom...and I'm telling you, she even approved of the one loaf that she tried anyway! Woohoo! for that. I was then off for a quick pitstop at Todd & Chrissy's to pick up the two very huge turkeys that I should have picked up weeks ago but kept forgetting until I was halfway home. One of these birds will feed our clan on Christmas Eve, and the other is slated for Feed Nova Scotia. From there I headed through the unbelievable traffic in New Minas to finish up some shopping and do a couple of returns. Along the way I made a pitstop for some cash, made a couple of other stops to pick up some gift certificates, and made a bank appt. so we can sign the papers for our mortgage renewal. Once home I printed off some new prints to hang on the wall, and finally wrapped up all of the Christmas goodies and packages.
Yup! Today I can say I was able to cross off a huge amount on my "to do" list. Good thing, because I was starting to get a little panicky as we only have four more todays until we pick Mom up for her Holiday visit.
Tomorrow (Friday) we're meeting with our banker, and then heading into the city for the night to enjoy Wally's Christmas party. Our kind and absolutely adorable neighbours will be looking after the doggies again. Lucky. That's what we are! I'll also be having a much needed visit with my hairstylist beforehand; and hopefully, will be able to wind down a little before the night begins. Yes, I admit it...I am wound very tight these days. Very tight indeed.
