Green Alligators

You might wonder what the heck green alligators has to do with this photo? Well, that's what popped into my head when I came across this photo. The "green alligator" song is what my sister and I performed when we were little, yukele and all. The song is actually "The Unicorn Song by the Irish Rovers", but to this day I still think of it as the green alligator song.

It is so, so funny to me to see this photo. It was taken at my Aunt Betty's house, when I think I may be around 6 which would make my sister around 10 years old. I'm the one with a bit of an up-do. Considering I can't sing a note now I can only imagine how horrible this must have sounded! The things we do as children!

I really like the professionalism we are showing here too. The music sheets layed out on the footstool, the concentration in our faces, the prefectly rounded mouths. Oooohhh! We were something. Yes we were!

Another thing I noticed about this photo is how much I resemble a cousin of mine (and her babies). Considering we aren't related by blood that's quite a marvel! Kim(mie) do you see the resemblance? We always wondered didn't we?
TODAY: I've already done my morning exercise and now I'm going to work like a mad-woman to complete some keying that has to be done so I can move on to something totally new for me. I can't believe I'm doing this, but I am building a website from scratch. AND just to make it a little more interesting and stressful I need to have something ready by Friday evening! Just imagine me laughing hysterically at this notion. Oh well! I'll give it the good old college try (as they say).

Enjoy the beautiful weather that's shining down on us today. I may even take some time myself to put my face into the sun and breathe in the crisp air.
