These Hands (Mom's Hands)

Back in November when I was traveling to the Valley to visit my Mom and help her pack her things for the move to her new apartment, I began thinking about all of the work my Mom's hands had done over the years. I was flooded with thoughts, both funny and sad, of what these hands had touched, done and where they've been in her 73 years. This page was born of those thoughts.

When I asked Mom if I could take a photo of her hands all she could think of was how bad they looked - all wrinkly and swollen. What I saw in those hands is the history and how beautiful each of those wrinkles looked. They are the map to the struggles and to the happiness her life has had.

TODAY: A date with my treadmill is on tap. Grocery shopping will be done so I can cook up a bit of a nice meal for my better half, and I plan on fitting in a walk in the crisp air and sunshine. I just love the sunshine we are having these days - even if I have to bundle up to enjoy it!

Have a wonderful Monday folks! enJOY the sun. enJOY the weather. enJOY L.I.F.E.

(EDIT: I forgot the credits - Queen of Quirk quick page and Scrap Girls Eternal Love papers. The scrapbooking community is so generous!)
