Saving Moments

This is a page that I started working on a year ago and put away, and then back in the fall I started it again when I snagged this quick page from Shaui (Fei-Fei's Stuff). It took until this week after the organization happened last week to finish it up. The photo says it all. It was a really great Thanksgiving that year! (Also used in the LO was an overlay by the awesome Katie Pertiet. Why reinvent something that's already there for the taking?)

Many times when I have my camera in hand it can be a little awkward and uncomfortable. Let's face it, most of us do not enjoy having our picture taken. Moments like the one above reiterate the point that if we don't take the time to pay attention to what's happening around us it may get lost amongst all of the other memories that are floating around in our brain somewhere. I am so very happy I had my camera that day and captured this particular moment, because I am sure there were other moments during the day that my Dad was struggling and wasn't expressing the joy that we all felt being together in celebration of Thanksgiving. Simply a perfect memory I will forever have at the forefront of my memories. Pure happiness shared at the table with family!

TODAY: I was slow getting out of bed (7:40) which means I had a really good rest last night. I've come to look forward to my yoga nights because whatever it does to me it lowers my blood sugar and I seem to also get to sleep most of the night which is beyond rare for me. I'm still shaking out the cobwebs even after my morning workout! Today I'll be working on the Valley Buy, Sell & Trade, meeting with a customer, taking some photos, picking up the work at the bus stop, take a break for some lunch of who knows what, visiting with the boss, cooking up some awesome looking ham that was dropped off yesterday and having a cozy evening with my better half. Oh! I also figure I'll totally enjoy the view I'm seeing of bright blue sky and will breathe in lots of crisp fresh air along the way.

Today IS definately a LIFE.IS.GOOD kind of day.
