This photo is not of yesterday’s rain, but was taken years ago during another freak thunder storm. It just so happened that I was watching two of my nephews at Exhibition, back in the 60s when this happened. I couldn’t resist snapping a few shots as they were getting the horses back to the barn in the middle of lightning bolts and thunder. Now we all know how much horses, or any animals for that matter, love it when a crack of thunder hits right over their head don’t we. Look closely and you can see that both of them are almost on their ass here. Such a vision. Glad I could be there to document this proud moment in the mud for them. I’m sure they are so happy and thankful that I have kept this memory for them. Just sending them both a little love today…and thinking of the fun to be had in this year’s event!
Yes, I'm kidding...if my nephews were doing this in the 60s that would make me ummm...OK, we all know I'm only 29, right?! This was actually taken last year after the pulls.
Also, for anyone wanting to know how that "curl" came about, it's an action I picked up a long time ago from I only wish I knew who. Most actions that are free contain a folder with useage, etc., but nope, not this one. Now that I've used it, I guess I better figure out how the heck it's done and share.
Today, it's an all out work day. I've spent the morning so far on the phone dealing with all the really [not] fun stuff about business...you know, accounting. For the remainder of the day it's keying ads and hopefully the pool will warm up enough after all the rain so I can take a swim and move my sore and weary body. Have a good one all!
