Hello Monday. Hello Holidays. Today is the official start to my Holiday Season. I've been up and at it early this morning just making sure my final upload for 2008 makes it to press...just in case there is a power outage.
The pretty sight above is a reminder to me this morning of what it looks like once the snow stops whipping around and the wind dies down. I've spent the last hour nervously awaiting a phone call from my better half letting me know that he's arrived at his destination in one piece. Now I know no matter what he tells me, that this morning's early drive on ice & snow covered highways was not a fun one.
TODAY: I'm taking it as it comes. I'm supposed to be making my way down Hwy. 101 to the Valley for some more unpacking of my Mom's really nice apt. and then head a little further in the afternoon to visit my new/old doctor. Let's just say, I've been waiting patiently to visit this lady since the disaster with my local Doc. and I'm not too happy with the wake-up weather this morning. I'm going with it though, because you never know what will happen in a few hours. I'm also planning on unpacking the many Christmas decorations that are piled in my living room and kitchen. On my list is to get the Christmas cards on their way and put a list together of what I need to do in the next few days.
